If there’s one thing we absolutely love at Kefi, it’s seeing how the rhythm of the café completely changes one afternoon a month. We set the rush aside, put on our aprons, and dive straight into the world of clay with Mildore Ceramics.

To be honest, even if some moments are trickier than others, we get so excited about organizing Coffee & Clay, because we know that as soon as we put that clay on the table, something magical happens.

Much more than just molding (or getting your hands dirty)

There’s always—and we mean always—someone who walks in saying: “Oh my, I’m so clumsy with my hands,” or “I’m sure my mug is going to end up looking like a deformed ashtray.” And that’s where Raquel’s magic kicks in. She’s so down-to-earth and explains things so well that, ten minutes later, nobody cares if their piece is going to turn out perfect or not.

The point here isn’t the final result (though you do end up taking home some beautiful pieces, we promise!), but that special time just for you. It’s the perfect moment to put your phone down, forget about notifications, and just focus on the feel of the clay and the conversation that flows naturally. It really is one of our favorite forms of homemade therapy.

And of course, since we can’t imagine life without a good coffee or a delicious smoothie, the workshop always comes with your favorite Kefi snack.
